2 years... sometimes it seems like it was just yesterday we moved to WF... sometimes it seems like we have been here FOREVER!! :)

Thinking about how two years ago this weekend our lives changed in so many ways as we packed up the budget truck and made the move to Wake Forest.  I was praying half the way that God would just give us someone to help us move in because I knew I would not be able to help Richard get the heavy things off the truck (my wise aunt advised us to get a cooler of beer and said the neighbors would come out to help... I asked her if she remembered that we were moving to SEMINARY and would be kicked out the first day we were there if we did that!!)  When we arrived the neighbors did in fact come out and we were moved in within an hr. and a beautiful friendship began with several sweet neighbors and friends we have come to know as our West Oak family!   The Lord has been faithful to us in so many ways!!
Richard and I have yet to have found full time jobs while we are here... but God has provided all our needs and above and beyond and often in crazy unforeseen ways and just when we needed it the most!  I am learning the art of coupon'ing and often kick myself for how much money we threw away before we moved here and became frugal.  Being a Seminary Student with a family means you WILL be poor but God is gracious and has soo much to teach us through this time in our lives and we are constantly reminded that its all His and all comes from Him and not ourselves.
We learned that we are not in control of our lives at all and each day is a gift.  Last year while 8 months pregnant with CJ I was hit by someone who ran a red light and destroyed my car while I was able to walk away with just a cut on my wrist.  While the shock of the accident made me spend my first night in the hospital with early contractions the Lord was gracious allowing CJ to "cook a little longer" and be born a healthy full term baby.
The biggest change in our lives since we have moved is how God has grown us as a family!!  There is just something in the water here!!  We are amazingly blessed as many of you know that we struggled for several years through infertility.  (See my last post)  One night as I found myself overwhelmed just wondering how this is all going to work out with two little ones, Richard reminded me that we prayed for these little ones so many nights together and God is answering our prayers!  We are so excited to meet the next little Peck in just a few months!
Most importantly I can honestly say we have grown in so many ways in our walk with the Lord!  We are not the same people we came here as... not saying at all that we have arrived or anything more then that God has humbled us more and convicted us more.  Our whole outlook on ministry is different, how we read our Bible is different, and we have tasted and seen how the Church is to love and care for one another through our sweet neighbors and North Wake family.  God brought us here to get us ready for something... yet to be known... but we are excited about this adventure we are on called to share Jesus with others!   It has definitely been some of the hardest times at times but I would not want to be anywhere than in the shadow of Gods presence and right where He wants me!
