So one of my favorite songs is by Shane and Shane... Burn us up. It talks about how Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego reply to King Nebuchadnezzar that they would rather burn than worship and bow down to him. (Daniel 3:17-18.) "If the God we serve exists, than He can rescue us from the furnace of blazing fire, and He can rescue us from the power of you the king. BUT EVEN IF HE DOES NOT rescue us, we want you as king to know that we will not serve your gods or worship the gold statue you set up."
They do not advertise Seminary in brochures as the time in your life when you will be put through the fire; but I can attest that it does!! It seems for us that it has been one thing after the next here and I have never been through so much drama... but also through so much blessings! The Lord continues to show us that He is in fact right there in the fire with us and though we can see and feel the fire, we are not burned!!
You are able to deliver from the fire of affliction

You have made us
Come and save us
We are Yours
But even if You don’t, we will burn!
